• TURNING OFF THE LIGHTS FOR CLIMATE PROTECTION: EARTH HOUR ON 30TH OF MARCH

    The Lanesborough Hotel in London

At the world's largest campaign for climate and environmental protection, initiated by the WWF, the lights will be switched off on March 30 from 8.30 pm to 9.30 pm.

Thousands of cities and millions of people around the globe are taking part. The lights are also switched off at countless public buildings, landmarks and sights such as the Brandenburg Gate, the Allianz Arena in Munich and the Opera House in Sydney.

Exemplary: At the luxurious hotel Lanesborough Hotel in London, part of the Oetker Collection, the will cuisine remain cold.

The Restaurant Céleste, which is extremely popular because of its great, modern-interpreted French star cuisine, is creating a special "raw food menu" in order to consume as little energy as possible during Earth Hour. The large chandeliers in the dining room are replaced by candlelight. The affiliated hotel Palácio Tangará in Sao Paolo will also be participating in the Earth Hour: whoever dines in the elegant restaurant of star chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten will enjoy a wonderful evening by candlelight (www.oetkercollection.com).

By the way: since 2018 the hotel group "Oetker Collection" does without plastic. You can find out more here.
