Coats and jackets are the key pieces of every outfit. You can immediately trim your look from casual to elegant and vice versa. You will find beautiful, functional and sustainable outerwear at FASSBENDER. The label has specialised in smart, sophisticated jackets and coats - always with lightness and the typical Hanseatic understatement.

FASSBENDER was founded by Christina Fassbender and her brother Sebastian Steinhoff. Christina is the soul of the brand. After a successful career with various fashion houses, she followed her vision to create her own label. Sebastian is responsible for the economic side and the online shop. The trio is completed by Matthias Louwen. As Head of Design he brings the mutual ideas down on paper. He previously worked in New York for fashion houses such as Alexander Wang and Calvin Klein.

The core of the collection consists of timeless reinterpreted classics. The trench coats, bomber jackets and parkas come in clear lines with modern details. The highlights are the cuddly coats and scarves, made of shorn lambswool, absolutely cruelty free.

Quality and sustainability generally play an important role in the choice of materials. FASSBENDER focuses on natural materials.

If nylon or polyester are used, then only recycled. Most of the fabrics come from Italy. The rest come from Peru, Japan or South Korea. "These countries are more innovative when it comes to researching new, sustainable materials and raw materials," explains Christina Fassbender. Buttons and zippers are made in Germany and do not require plastic.

Jackets and coats from FASSBENDER are supposed to last longer than a few seasons. That's why each piece is handmade by one seamstress. " For the production, we work together with two companies located in Poland and Portugal," says the founder and continues:

"Only local women who are trained seamstresses work there. They never work more than eight hours a day and get fair wages."

The label based in Hamburg does not make any compromises. Look, function and sense of responsibility come together - the winter can come!
