The history of the beauty label Ella Brantë begins in Ceylon at the beginning of the 19th century, shortly after the country became a British colony. Ella's mother fell in love with an Englishman, so the family from then on lived under the influence of two cultures: The Western and Singhalese culture, which is closely interwoven with Ayurvedic medicine.

Ella was already very close to nature as a small child and often roamed the tropical jungle to collect medicinal herbs for her mother. As a young woman, she began to develop her own formulas to alleviate a variety of skin problems. The purely natural, fragrant plant oils quickly became known among locals and migrants as holistic beauty care.

Recipes that combine Naturopathy and Natural Cosmetics

More than 150 years later, Ella's recipes were rediscovered in Sri Lanka: carved into a historical palm leaf manuscript written in traditional Sanskrit. Inspired by this exciting discovery and Ella's exciting life, Konstanze and her team decided to continue Ella's culturally connecting story. For their label Ella Brantë Naturkosmetik, they have carefully adapted the traditional formulations to modern production methods and contemporary care rituals.

Just like in Ella's formular, the rich care compositions are completely natural. They are all made from selected ingredients, each with its own personal, very special properties. The two product lines - Ella Brantë and Ella Brantë for Men - are both based on seven main ingredients. Each individual product is based on harmonious compositions. The range of fragrances extends from Mint to Lavender to Tonka Bean.

The vegan products also contain natural antioxidants. They slow down the aging process of the skin and prevent wrinkles and age spots by catching free radicals. Ella Brantë products therefore also function as a gentle anti-aging cure - without chemicals, artificial additives or animal testing!
